Founder and CEO of Senior Solution 3rd Generation, I have 22years’ experience in Substance abuse counseling. My vision is to help my peers, Baby Boomers and Woodstock survivors to live the best quality of life possible. I hold a CRADC, CCJP and I am certified for Clinical Supervision. I hold (2) MA’s; in Gerontology & Communications.
The Problem .
Substance abuse, depression, anxiety,hopelessness and helplessness are the number one mental health issues facing elders today. However, some of these issues do not get address. Most seniors never get evaluated for substance abuse, due to Ageism. Drug abuse is looked upon as a disorder associated with the youth however today there are 1.9 million seniors in Missouri alone addicted to alcohol, prescription and other illicit drugs.
